The government has set itself an objective by the year 2035, it wants almost every car and van in the UK to have zero emissions, with the UK at the forefront of their design, development and manufacture making the UK one of the most attractive locations for zero emission vehicle-related inward investment in the world.
From January 2017, Local Authorities are invited to submit applications for On-Street Residential Grant Scheme. The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) has allocated £2.5m of funding for 16/17 and 17/18 for on street residential projects.
The funding available is for 75% of the capital costs of procuring and installing charge points and associated dedicated parking bays
